Read the audit trail

Where to find a record of every sync event, what each event type means, and how to search it.

The Audit Trail page in the PairSyncr app shows the most recent 100 sync events for your account. Use the search box to filter by entity type, source platform, event type, correlation ID, or source record ID; it is a single search field rather than separate dropdown filters.

What each event shows

Every event lists its event type, entity type, and timestamp, the source platform and (when there is one) the target platform, a correlation ID, and a detail payload when one was recorded.

Events that belong to the same underlying sync operation share a correlation ID. If you are troubleshooting one record, searching by its correlation ID shows every step PairSyncr took for that sync.

Event types

EventWhat it means
ReceivedPairSyncr received an inbound change notification.
MappedSource fields were mapped to target fields.
DedupedThe record matched an existing target record and was linked instead of created. See How duplicate detection works.
Echo suppressedThe change was PairSyncr's own earlier write coming back around, and was skipped. See Why changes don't bounce back.
Conflict resolvedBoth platforms had changed the same field, and PairSyncr picked a winner. See How PairSyncr resolves conflicts.
WrittenPairSyncr wrote the change to the target platform.
SkippedNo write happened, for a reason other than a dedupe or an echo, such as no linked counterpart.
FailedThe write to the target platform failed.
DeletedThe source record was deleted. PairSyncr removes the internal link between the two records, but does not delete the counterpart record on the other platform.

There is currently no export function on the Audit Trail page.

Dry-run activity appears in the same list as WOULD_CREATE, WOULD_UPDATE, WOULD_SKIP, and WOULD_CONFLICT events, which show what a sync would do without writing anything.

PairSyncr does not currently delete sync events automatically while your account is active. This page shows the most recent 100 events. To ask about your data after account closure, email hello@pairsyncr.com.
